Business Intelligence Analyst

Our client is market leader in its field with its Head Office in Johannesburg and operations throughout Southern Africa

Duties include:

Business information

• Understand and document business information requirements
• Validate system information and data integrity
• Take necessary corrective action for discrepancies and follow through to resolution and completion
• Consistently enhance efficiencies and automate departmental processes

Management reporting

• Design and propose lay-out of reports as requested by management
• Produce, analyse, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Highlight, investigate and advise on trends
• Propose improvements based on data analysis
• Benchmark and analyse against market and industry information

Board pack preparation

• Design and propose lay-out of board pack reports
• Extract and analyse required data for board packs

Project Management

• Establish clear priorities to ensure optimum use of time and resources
• Establish detailed steps, activities, and timetables for achieving required results
• Complete projects within agreed specifications, timeframes and budgets

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes Required:

• Minimum NQF7 - BCom or similar qualification
• Advanced Excel
• SAP, Bex Analysor and QlikView system experience
  • Excellent knowledge of database structures
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Minimum 8 years’ work experience
  • Deadline driven
  • Excellent analytical skills – problem solving, decision making and planning
  • Detail orientation
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Strong customer orientation and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Adaptable and self-starter
