Boston's Graduate Support Services is recruiting for this world-class firm specialising in mergers and acquisitions who has a vacancy for a Business Intelligence Associate in their Cape Town office.

Job Description
The Business Intelligence Associate will review, analyse and collate research information through a variety of internal and external databases in order to generate documentation in preparation for meetings with potential clients. As an Associate, you will act under the instruction of and be trained by the experienced leadership team, with combined experience of over 40 years in the M&A markets.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have excellent business writing and financial analysis skills
The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background and equally strong research experience/skills
Although this is an entry-level job, similar experience will be greatly advantageous
Suitable qualifications will include a business or financial degree or post-graduate qualification
Experience in professional business writing preferred
Commercial understanding and awareness of business and operations in various industries
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Proficient personal computer skills include electronic record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to handle a rigorous schedule of deadlines
Prioritization and organization skills
An understanding of basic financial analysis and Excel is advantageous
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Responsibilities:

Reviewing notes, paperwork and other literature (including financial statements) regarding business sales, extracting the most salient pieces of information
Preparing comprehensive and detailed Business Reports, structured in a manner to engage various types of reader
Liaising with clients and internal departments at Director/Shareholder level to gather, review and discuss information required to prepare Business Reports
Gathering comprehensive information about a potential client's business through multiple sources to ensure a thorough and accurate analysis for presentation
Prepare and routinely update marketing materials and business intelligence reports
Ensure the internal CRM system is up to date with information about each client
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Comply with all policies, practices and procedures and report all unsafe activities to supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
