Recruiting for a Data warehouse Developer

POSITION INFO:

This role will primarily be responsible for developing ETL solutions from various internal and external systems in a Microsoft data warehouse environment.
Key activities include design, development, testing, code promotion, version management, quality control, documentation and data analysis.
The role will work with reporting specialists to understand data warehouse needs and with delivery team members to maintain, enhance and ensure the integrity of data content and relationships within the warehouse.
Min 5-8 years Enterprise Data Warehouse Architecture, Solutions and Development experience
Proficient in Dimensional Data Modelling & Data Warehousing according to best practice such as Ralph Kimball/Inmon Modelling.
Provide architecture and design input and develop ETL solutions from various internal and external systems to support reporting according to business needs
Design ETL via source-to-target mapping and design documents that consider security, performance tuning and other best practices
Assess and improve existing data warehouse ETL designs. Continuous Improvement (CI).
Design, develop, unit test and maintain ETL jobs to create or enhance data warehouse tables
Identify improvement areas and propose solutions for the same
Bachelor’s degree. (Comp Science\ Engineering\ Informatics\ Information Technology)
Min 5-8 years Enterprise Data Warehouse Architecture, Solutions and Development experience
Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and engineering with experience in:
Planning, designing and architecting a data warehouse
Understanding and applying relevant data modelling with governance and best practices.
Data warehouse Concepts and Techniques.
ETL development.
Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills.
Strong database understanding – Microsoft SQL Server
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
