POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Business Lead: SAP FICO Consultant a 12-month fixed term contract for Pretoria.

 

Purpose of the role:

The Business Lead: Financial Accounting and Control (FI CO) will be responsible for configuring and testing SAP FI CO and other third-party functions and module solutions, as well as troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems aligned to operations - and services processes.

 

Minimum educational level:                                                      

• NQF level 6 or higher qualification in the Information Technology (IT) field essential
• SAP FI CO Certification

 

We require the following work experience:

• A minimum of five yearsâ?? experience in SAP FI and CO design and configuration experience
• Implementation experience including full life cycle ASAP methodology, business requirement collection, business process analysis, gap analysis, realization, final preparation, training, go-live, support
• Adequate knowledge of SAP development concepts, guidelines and SAP architecture required.
• Sound knowledge in financial accounting, including travel management, asset management and banks, controlling, treasury management, real estate management, opentext vendor invoice management, BEST statement add-on, FlexGL, parallel ledgers, material ledger and BPC will be advantageous
• Knowledge of IT Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL) and Web technologies: HTML 5
• Knowledge of Project management including methods and tools including mining industry models.
• Candidate must be a team player and demonstrate good interpersonal-, communication-, problem solving- and project coordination skills
• The successful candidate must have strong leadership and analytical skills with high attention to detail proficiency levels
• High level of MS Office proficiency and willing and able to travel for up to 2 to 3 days at a time (international)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, configuration, and testing of core FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR)
• Design, configuration, and testing of Asset Management
• Design, configuration, and testing of Consolidations
• Design, configuration, and testing of CO-PA
• Acting as liaison with clients for troubleshooting investigates, analyses, and solves software problems and maps business requirements, processes, and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy business'' needs
• Setting up transactional times, middleware configuration and monitoring integrated into SAP ECC 6.0 (SD/MM/FI)
• Create test scenarios for unit testing and integration testing for all FI CO business processes and obtain sign-off after successful completion of testing
• Involvement in user documentation and configuration documentation which includes the creation of user manuals
• Ensure adherence to all IT governance frameworks including policies, procedures, processes, and standards
• Update and maintain known error database, knowledge base, configuration database as well as testing and training material, and implement a continuous improvement plan to improve the portfolio solutions
• Perform SAP Note Implementations (Functional Security)
• Assist the team with the creation of written validation procedures, plans and reports
• Daily monitoring of jobs that are necessary for the finance application(s) to run effectively and efficiently
