Role Description

Provide technical and analytical support to assigned software applications, in particular corporate MIS (EFI Radius), reporting and implementation and support projects. The Business Systems Analyst will work with end users, managers, project members and vendors to ensure that software applications and related standard processes work at their best. He/she will be directly involved in implementations and/or development and support activities related to all European offices.

Main processes and individual responsibilities:

• Business System Support: Provide IT support to assigned business areas to ensure that software applications are working properly and that they meet business requirements. Understand business processes and use process improvement tools to provide direction and/or ideas on how systems and/or processes can be improved.
• Report Development: Develop and maintain reports through Crystal Reports, SQL, or other reporting technologies to support business demands. Properly maintain and manage reports in the test and production environment. Collect specifications from users to develop new reports.
• Project Implementation and Support: Apply best practices for the implementation of systems at plants in EMEA. Support data migration through tools such as SQL, ETL and Microsoft Excel. Ensure that requirements, deadlines, budget, and scope are met.
• Troubleshooting and Enhancement: monitor end-user support requests daily and assist them in resolving them. Work in collaboration with internal and / or supplier resources for the resolution of application bugs or for the testing of new features in anticipation of their production. Contribute to the evolutionary and improvement maintenance of the assigned software applications.
• Functional and Technical Liaison: Acting as an intermediary between business users and the development/configuration of software applications, collecting requirements, analyzing them, and transforming them into practical solutions.
• Policy, Process and Procedure: Maintain and support IT documentation, procedures, and policies. Use and maintain daily the contents in the information system to support IT activities (Service Now).
• People: Ensure that all requests from all users are always handled with patience and consideration.

Requirements:

• Ability to analyze complex situations, develop solutions and support their implementation
• Technical ability to manage and support users and software applications
• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Definition and implementation of reports, preferably (but not only) through SAP Crystal Report
• Configuration, management and support of ERP and MIS in manufacturing companies
• Understanding of business processes and ensuring that they are implemented at their best through software applications.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel to manipulate data
• Knowledge of a programming language (e.g., Java or .NET) is welcome in order to support small data migration or data extraction projects
