JOB SUMMARY:
My client is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist within the renewable solar energy sector. It is essential to have experience in the solar sector in order leverage your extensive market and supplier knowledge.
This is an Employment Equity appointment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Specialist to source and grow category into retail and commercial. Must be a Buyer/ Category manager

Minimum Requirements
Successful 3-5 year experience in Solar Procurement
B Degree/NQF Level - studying towards
Matric / Grade 12/Equivalent/ RPL (Recognition for Prior Learning)
Extensive knowledge of category technologies and products
MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage stock levels and co-ordinate ordering of replenishing stock at all Branches and Warehouses
Take a strategic and long-term view of procurement in identifying and developing innovative sources and contractual arrangements.
Implement supply chain networks and strategies within the department to ensure day to day operations run optimally
Ensuring orders are picked correctly, goods are dispatched on time and that any queries are resolved timeously
Ensuring all logistics of stakeholders are known and functioning efficiently
Responsible for the purchasing and supply management activities for Solar.
Work closely with key stakeholders in our Corporate Division to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.
Help identify critical business requirements and provide sourcing and procurement services that meet expectations.
Leverage extensive market and supplier knowledge to drive lower TCO.
Provide insight on how to best develop and leverage Supplier capabilities for the organization.
Primary point of contact for overall category needs. Responsible for prioritizing demand globally and nationally across the category.
Negotiate with suppliers during the sourcing review.
Strategic Thinking
Influence strategy and translate business strategy for category and align category strategy to programs and projects.
Champion change and innovation.
Assist in defining category procurement strategy and management of financial forecast model
Drive Total Cost of Ownership reductions for category through analytics.
Quality and Compliance
Adhere to specified standards, policies, practices and procedures.
Use appropriate tools to conduct work, and ensure quality, accuracy and completeness thereof.
