C / C++ / PYTHON DEVELOPER - Automotive Ethernet Control Field (Century City, Cape Town)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Roles & Outcomes:

vC/C++ or Python programming and Integration.

vSystems Design & Documentation / Technical Authoring.

vProblem Solving, Project Management, Research / Investigations.

vService Level Monitoring, Systems Testing & User Support.

vThe ability to quickly create advanced software solutions that are relatively free from defect and are easily maintained.

vCreate Firmware for custom hardware designs & Code versioning.

vCollaborating with the software development team on application design and development.

vDeveloping software and overseeing the deployment of applications across platforms.

vPerforming diagnostic tests and debugging procedures.

vCreating end-user application feedback channels.

vResolve issues proactively to deliver high quality products.

vDeploying software across a variety of platforms and operating systems.

vIntegrating user-facing elements using server-side logic.

vWrite reusable, testable, and efficient code.

vDesign and implement of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.

vPerformance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation.

vWork collaboratively with design team to understand end user requirements to provide technical solutions and for the implementation of new software features.

vCoordination with other developers for cross-functional requirements implementation and tests.

Education & Qualifications:

vHigher Degree or diploma in IT or related field.

vFluent in spoken and written English.

vTeam player with the ability to work in small teams.

vBe able and willing to travel abroad.

Experience:

vIntermediate – Senior C/C++, Python developer.

vMin 3+yrs strong experience and knowledge.

vExperience required on one or more; file parsing, API design, JSON restful, RPC links.

vDeep understanding & multi-process architecture & the threading limitations of Python.

vHands on experience with Django, Flask or other Python frameworks.

vCurrent knowledge of C/C++ or Python standards and specifications.

vExtensive experience in deploying software across a variety of platforms.

vSuperb analytical and problem-solving skills.

vExperience with algorithms/data structures knowledge & Good OOP knowledge.

vSoftware development lifecycle experience.

vExperience with Windows and LINUX.

vGood understanding of TCP/IP protocol.
