SUMMARY:
Hiring a CAPEX Accountant: A highly detail-oriented and analytical CAPEX Accountant with a strong background in property development finance. Skilled in managing capital expenditure budgets, tracking project costs, and ensuring alignment with financial forecasts and strategic objectives. Adept at collaborating with project managers, Quantity Surveyors, and finance teams to deliver accurate reporting, enhance cost control, and support informed decision-making across large-scale developments.

POSITION INFO:
This premier luxury lifestyle estate is located between Fourways and Lanseria in Johannesburg, South Africa. Spanning 2,000 acres (approximately 900 hectares), it stands as one of the largest residential estates in the country. Launched decades ago, the development has attracted significant investment, with an initial R 6.5 billion dedicated to infrastructure and an additional R 5.5 billion for subsequent phases.

Reporting to the Senior Reporting, the Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring the validity and proper authorisation of supplier invoices, preparing supplier reconciliations and remittance advice, and verifying audit lists for accuracy (bank details and amounts). It also includes vendor management by confirming alignment between vendor records and supporting documentation. Additionally, the role oversees operational CAPEX management, contributing to the preparation of budgets and forecasts to ensure financial alignment with development objectives.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

ACMA /CGMA
BCom Degree in accounting
5 years relevant experience in a Plant / Manufacturing environment
Construction industry experience
Previous experience leading a team
