SUMMARY:
CFO role available - Seeking the skills of a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) to drive the strategic and operational objectives of a well-established FMCG firm based in Johannesburg East

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:

Our client is a well-established firm within the FMCG industry and they are currently seeking the skills of a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with no less than 10 years’ post articles experience to fill the role of CFO. The successful incumbent will come from the FMCG sector or similar production-based environment and will be responsible for both the strategic and operational objectives of the company. This is an Exco-level role, therefore experience with the below mentioned as well as other criteria must be met to be considered.

* Please note - Experience from a Medium-sized company is highly preferred.

Duties include but aren’t limited to:

Responsible for the Full Finance Function & Executive Management - Exco
Strategic Planning & Operational Management
Management of Business Net Turnover & Revenue Growth
Management of Business KPI’s
Financial Planning & Analysis
Mergers & Acquisitions
Market & Trend Analysis
Cost Saving & Growth Opportunities
Commercial & Sales Collaboration
Liaison with Stakeholders & Business Partnering
Management of Finance & Accounting Department
Management of Group Financial Reporting
Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensuring Adherence to IFRS Standards & Reporting Requirements
Audit Management
Risk & Compliance

Experience & Requirements:

Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) registered with SAICA
Must have a minimum of 10 years’ post article experience of which ideally 5+ years’ must be in an executive of senior management level role
Must have FMCG, Manufacturing or similar production-based industry experience
Experience from a Medium-sized firm is highly preferred
Must have a stable working track record and relevant experience
Due to the nature of this role, it unfortunately does not allow “work-from-home” option which means the area might be preferred by those residing between Johannesburg East, Midrand or Pretoria areas in terms of ease-of-travel.
Must have a stable working history
Must have current experience in an executive level role
IFRS 17 knowledge and experience highly advantageous
