Our client in the Rustenburg area is currently looking for a well experienced CEO

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Overview:
The role of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is to be ultimately responsible for the performance and conformance of the Company in accordance with its strategic and growth plans. This includes successfully managing the affairs of the Truss against the operational business plan and in line with the strategic plan, ensuring the financial and non-financial targets are achieved; managing and fostering the team and maintaining the values and culture; helping to develop and maintain effective systems; policies and procedures that enable foundation goals to be effectively achieved; and providing an active and positive influence with clients and stakeholders. The CEO’s activities should be in line with the applicable policies, guidelines and supporting resources. The CEO is expected to champion the Trust’s promise, brand, standards and values.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of the Chief Executive Officer.
The Company is a Municipal Entity created in terms of the Systems Act, to procure the design, construction, implementation and Operations and Maintenance of the water and waste water treatment plants in the Rustenburg Local Municipality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-Graduate qualification from a recognised Higher Education Institution (NQF Level 8 and above) in the following areas:
    • Built Environment;
    • Finance;
    • Management and Administration;
    • Related fields

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • Extensive experience in Strategic Management and proven experience in Financial Management and Budgeting position.
  • Extensive Management experience with at least 5 years experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of National Treasury Regulations, MFMA, Practice Notes and Instruction Notes.
  • Broad experience in Stakeholder engagement and management. Public and Private sectors.

  • Align the mandate, mission, corporate objectives and organisation competencies
  • Modelling and setting company culture
  • Financial management and legal compliance
  • Provide support to the operation and administration of the Board
  • Corporate governance
  • Promote the company as a water utility
  • Development of senior management team and human capital
  • To drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Business growth and sustainability
  • Stakeholder management / relationship building
