SUMMARY:
We are looking for a CIMA Qualified Cost Accountant in Hederberg, Western Cape.

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analysing, controlling, and reporting on manufacturing costs to support operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
The role works closely with production, operations, and supply chain teams to enhance cost visibility and drive continuous improvement.

Our client specialises in the development and manufacture of components and assemblies using advanced, lightweight composite materials.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Analyse and report on manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, overheads, and work-in-progress (WIP)
Maintain standard costing models and perform detailed variance analysis
Support month-end close processes related to inventory and production costs
Partner with production, operations, and supply chain teams to strengthen cost control and cost transparency
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Make extensive use of SAP for cost controlling, reporting, and financial analysis
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards

Minimum Requirements

Completed CIMA qualification
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven cost accounting experience within complex manufacturing operations
In-depth working knowledge of SAP in a manufacturing and cost-controlling environment
Strong Excel skills with solid analytical capability
