POSITION INFO:

My client is a leader in the Healthcare sector and is seeking a Clinical Business Optimisation Specialist based at their Head Office in JHB reporting to the GM.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB)
• Full registration with the HPCSA as a medical practitioner is mandatory
• Postgraduate qualifications will be advantageous
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in decision support, clinical business optimisation, quality, healthcare administration, statistics, and operational processes
• Highly proficient in decision support tools such as Excel and Qlikview

• Responsible for final preparation and delivery of business performance solutions
• Utilise Business Process Management as an effective methodology to optimise clinical processes
• Establishment of indicators and goals, clinical outcomes/financial analyses and establishment of automated data tracking tools
• Proactively assesses clinical workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes and develops future workflows related to optimisation of new and existing solutions
• Effectively develop reports/applications 
• Ability to translate business clinical requirements into technical requirements, reports and reviews. Creates and executes test plans, processes and policies
• Works collaboratively with end users, data analysts and Information Management to develop clinical business solutions
• Understanding the common sources of data within the healthcare system (internal and external), and the data structures of each source
• Conducts specified clinical optimisation audits and reports findings and recommendations
• Leads and facilitates decision-support related initiatives
• Supports the designs, builds, and tests of clinical application components and makes organised recommendations for necessary changes
• Plans and coordinates special clinical optimisation projects using project management skills, tools, and methodologies
• Serves as a strong member of the optimisation team, dedicated to the identification of optimisation aspects for development of solutions that support clinical workflow and practice and align with the current best practice standards
