JOB SUMMARY:
CLUSTER CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER - JOHANNESBURG
R1.8 million – R2 million ANNUALLY

A giant in the travel/hospitality space seeks to employ a Chief Financial Officer. The successful incumbent will be overseeing the financial operations and be responsible for corporate reporting. This Individual will play an active role in the management of the company and providing support with regards to mergers and acquisitions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Providing timely and accurate financial reports including analysis of results
Internal and external audit
Managing the financial and operational risk of the business.
Ensuring the financial structure is appropriate and optimal
Monitoring all material business risks
Making sure that all tax returns are correctly submitted
Executing the annual budget
Managing the entity debtors so that targets are exceeded
Giving accurate reports to stakeholders
Overseeing the preparations and review of the consolidated monthly flash reports, monthly management accounts, quarterly board reports, quarterly audit committee submission, annual YE financial and tax packs, annual financial statements, and all other financial reports
Managing the capital expenditure budget
Developing, implementing, and maintaining of the internal control system and designed to safeguard the assets of the business against identified risks.
Managing the entity debtors so that the company’s targets are exceeded

Experience & Qualification

CA (SA)
10-12 years’ experience in a senior financial management role
5-8 years’ experience at a senior executive level
Senior leadership experience
Experience in the service industry
Merged and acquisitions experience
Board of Directors experience

Knowledge & Skills

Consolidated financial reporting pf a multi entity structure
IFRS knowledge
Tax
Accounting system
