JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a national manufacturing company, currently seeks an experienced Co-ordinator to co-ordinate and plan training interventions in order to empower employees to meet organisational objectives within this listed manufacturing concern, reporting to the L+D Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:
  • National Diploma: Human Resources Management or relevant qualification in the Education, Training and Development field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in learning and development.
  • Sound knowledge of the Skills Development Act, the Employment Equity Act and their relevant regulations, and the new national learning dispensation (including institutions and policies).
  • Experience in Training Provider Management in an ETD environment.
  • Accreditation to design and conduct an assessment for an integrated Learning Programme.
  • Advanced computer literacy, and the Corporate HRIS Programme.
  • Registered Skills Development Facilitator / coach and mentor / Assessor and Moderator an advantage.
The Job:

A 4 MONTH CONTRACT FOCUSING ON:

Training and Development:
  • Promote a learning culture in the organisation.
  • Assist the Line Managers in identifying employee training needs.
  • Schedule staff to attend internal and external learning events in accordance with the wider learning and development strategy.
  • Facilitate internal training interventions.
  • Compile and update departmental training matrices.
  • Plan and facilitate training interventions (induct all new employees).
  • Notify delegates of training interventions timeously.
  • Ensure that appropriate resources are available, e.g. venue, equipment, course material, manpower, etc.
  • Update attendance registers for training interventions.
  • Keep records of training completed by delegates and submit copies to Payroll.
  • Monitor and record all costs of training and the effectiveness of training and development.
  • Participate in audits and ensure recommendations are actioned
Workplace Assessments:
  • Administer, co-ordinate and maintain assessment records.
  • Co-ordinate Standards Based Assessments processes and conduct outcomes-based assessments.
Other:
  • Administration - conduct skills development administration in an organisation (training schedules, attendance registers, learner files, certificates, reports, etc.)
  • Reporting - compile training and development monthly reports.
  • Continuous Improvement - keep abreast with the latest trends and developments in the Human Resources field.
