JOB SUMMARY:
Drafting, vetting and scrutinising legal and commercial contracts and or agreements; including tender contracts, Service Level agreements (clients and suppliers), claims and any contractual agreement, future or current

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to –

Drafting, review and negotiating contracts; with operational units, EXCO and client boards / EXCO’s

Ensuring compliance in terms of governance aspects

Managing change requests and disputes relating to contracts

Tracking of contract renewals

Facilitating the signing of agreements and necessary resolutions

Renewal of contracts and recording of specific data

Legal due diligence

Compiling regular updates with regards to changes relevant and applicable to statutory and common

law insofar it relates to the industry and business of the Group

Conducting legal administration

Minimising legal risks and breaches

Address non-performance transactions

Processing and drafting of legal reviews and opinions

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications, skills and abilities required for the job:

Grade 12 / Matric

Legal degree

Admitted as an attorney in the Courts of SA

Minimum of 5 years relevant contract advice / management experience

Sound knowledge of South African Labour-, Insurance-, Contract- and Commercial Law

Computer literacy

Good interpersonal skills, communication- and writing skills

Language proficiency:

English and at least one other official South African language (read, write and speak)

Accountability and integrity

Must have excellent presentation, writing, verbal communication and report writing skills

Willing to work long hours/overtime as and when required

Own transport.
