A well-established and respected manufacturing business operating within the shopfitting industry is seeking to appoint a detail-oriented and commercially minded Cost Estimator to join its team in Worcester.    This position is ideally suited to an organised individual with strong analytical abilities, practical manufacturing insight, and the ability to interpret complex project specifications and convert them into accurate costing and quotation documents.

POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive, organise, and manage the storage of a wide variety of client specifications and project information. Interpret project specifications and prepare detailed costing spreadsheets using MS Excel. Compile accurate and competitive quotations within required deadlines. Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing and maintain up-to-date supplier price lists. Develop a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used within the shopfitting environment. Analyse planned versus actual project expenses and provide feedback on cost variances. Maintain awareness of ongoing projects and industry developments to support accurate estimating. REQUIREMENTS: 3 - 5 years comparable experience Strong proficiency in MS Excel. Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical information and convert it into structured costing documentation. Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and project requirements. Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes within the shopfitting industry. Well-organised with strong attention to detail and excellent administrative abilities. Practical understanding of manufacturing and production environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good networking abilities and the capacity to build and maintain supplier relationships.
