Employer Description A leader in custom and bespoke retail shopfitting solutions Job Description In this role, reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, the Technical Draughtsman will handle: Preparation of Technical Shop Drawings Produce accurate detailed shopfitting drawings, layouts, sections and fabrication details in accordance with project specifications and client requirements. Coordinating Design Information Review architectural and engineering drawings and coordinate design details with project managers, production teams and site personnel to resolve clashes and ensure constructability. Developing Manufacturing Drawings Create production-ready drawings for joinery, fixtures, fittings and custom shopfitting components including dimensions, material specifications and assembly details. Revising and Updating Drawings Incorporate design changes, site instructions and client revisions into technical drawings and maintain accurate drawing registers and revision histories. Supporting Project Delivery Provide technical assistance during manufacturing and installation by responding to drawing queries, conducting site measurements where required and ensuring all drawings comply with applicable standards and project requirements. Quality Control Process Improvement Qualifications MDDOP preferable SolidWorks qualification Skills Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in steel and timber. Proven ability to create accurate BOQs, cutting lists, and CNC machine programs. Familiarity with technical specifications, tolerances, and material properties. Ability to interpret and translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. Team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
