Job Description

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of a project, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service. You will be involved in all phases of a facility’s lifecycle which includes:

Feasibility
Construction
Extension
Refurbishments
Demolition

Your responsibilities will include:

Prepare cost analyses and cost plans based on architectural and engineering inputs
Develop tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Evaluate and negotiate tenders from contractors and subcontractors
Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and progress, ensuring commercial controls are maintained
Manage valuations, variations, interim payments, and final accounts
Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams
Vet subcontractor tenders, certify payments, and ensure accurate reporting
Collaborate with project teams to meet client requirements and maintain workflow
Produce accurate measurements, data, and calculations
Support management and assist the Head of Department as needed

Qualifications

BSc / BTech / Diploma QS

Skills

Commercially astute, numerate, and risk-averse, with the ability to accurately forecast costs
Strong analytical skills with effective communication abilities
Self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
Able to multitask and manage competing priorities efficiently
Strong organizational skills, including resource planning and programme scheduling
Capable of producing both summarized and detailed reports on current activities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
