Capital Project Manager

SUMMARY:

Minimum Qualifications:

Grade 12 Certificate

Industrial Engineer Degree / PMP / Master's in Project Management

Computer Literate - MS Office Suite

Minimum Experience:

10 years related experience

Key Tasks:

Set strategy and targets for the Project Management Portfolio

Provide Project Management leadership and direction to achieve the strategy

Develop Processes and Procedures and make sure projects are executed in accordance with our contractual

obligations as defined by the relevant contracts and in accordance with our ISO accreditations and procedures

As part of our continual improvement process ensure procedures, process and work instruction remain relevant anc

support the business as a whole

Conduct regular effective contract reviews to ensure that the project is delivered to customers' needs and

requirements

Compile a Project Plan for the manufacture and delivery of Capital goods based on the terms and conditions of the

tender submitted and the contract review conducted.

Convene a Project team per project for the management of the projects at hand.

Manage the project with required delivery timeframes as well as the required budget.

Submission of regular project progress reports.

Reporting and Managing any timing delays or budget overruns and minimizing same.

Obtaining contract and tender documentation from customers and evaluates / check terms and conditions.

Provide accurate reporting of project performance and manage constrains to EXCO.

Communicate status of project to customers in a timeous and correct manner

Prepare tender programs when required

Manage projects to detailed project plan

Vendor Management - Active role on the Vendor Council, develop the approved suppliers list

Ensure projects are completed within time frame, budget and specifications (Quality)

Project communication and reporting, internally and externally

Contract management, provide support and advise sales team on contracts

Responsible for all contractual matters for large tenders (NEC & FIDIC)

Resolving contractual matters on projects

Project progress Reporting

Project scope, cost, time, quality and risk management

Project procurement, Project Expediting and vendor management

Product and People management

Budgeting and forecasting

Report writing

Cost and profitability estimation

Process flow sheet development

CRM - Customer Relations Management

Provide technical and marketing information when required to complete the feedback loop

Adherence to housekeeping as per the company and legal requirements

Manage safety and housekeeping in compliance with company and OHS act requirements

Ensure all HSE and housekeeping requirements at the branch

Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times
