Capital Sales Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client that is based in Boksburg, specialising in underground mining equipment is currently recruiting for an experienced Capital Sales Manager that has a strong understanding of the mining market, customer requirements and safety regulations.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Essential: BSc / B. Tech / Diploma in Engineering or Sales Management.
• 5 + years’ experience in the mining and capital sales industry.
• Computer literate and conversant with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Valid drivers’ licence.
• Willing to travel within South Africa and regional countries.
• Technical Knowledge: TMM machine (maintenance procedures, safety controls, mining applications and cost drivers is an advantage).

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage the Sales.
• Focus on providing cost effective safe, equipment solutions for our customers, building a long term mutually beneficial business relationship.
• Manage and direct all marketing activities
• Recruit, manage, direct and lead an effective, results driven sales team.
• Manage trial machine processes with the service and Aftermarket departments.
• Engage with customers, with Mining and Project houses.
• Manage and develop the existing sales forecasting and project systems, to evaluate market potential and establish KPI’s and targets for the salespeople.
• Management reports on sales forecasts, market conditions, lost sales, sales strategies and other forecasting and corporate sales review reports.
• Operating cost development and ongoing data acquisition from operating sites, liaison with branches and Mine site personnel to analyse and update comparative operating costs, for inclusion in quotations, tenders and sales arguments.
