SUMMARY:

CARTAGE CONTROLLER

Key Responsibilities:

• Control all deliveries and collections of empty containers.
• Plan and coordinate delivery and collection activities.
• Plan effective container movements.
• Distribute work fairly among drivers.
• Ensure client satisfaction through efficient service delivery.
• Ensure all drivers, suppliers and clients comply with site safety rules.
• Conduct/ensure safety inductions for drivers and visitors entering the premises.
• Ensure all drivers on the premises wear the required PPE.
• Report any safety non-compliance to the relevant safety representatives immediately.
• Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, clients and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Pre-advising and making bookings on Navis will be advantageous.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Cartage Controller, Transport Controller, Fleet Controller or similar logistics role.
• Experience in container movements and transport coordination.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Navis will be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

CARTAGE CONTROLLER Gqeberha, Eastern Cape Our client is seeking an experienced and organised Cartage Controller to join their team in Gqeberha. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and controlling container movements, ensuring efficient delivery and collection activities, and maintaining strong relationships with drivers, suppliers and clients.
