POSITION INFO:
A fast-growing FinTech business based in Sandton is looking for a Cashbook Specialist to join its finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong cashbook and banking experience who is comfortable working in a high-volume environment and taking ownership of daily reconciliations, EFT processing and month-end controls. You'll work across multiple bank accounts and entities, giving you exposure to a broad treasury environment while working with modern ERP systems. Key Responsibilities Process and capture high-volume cashbook transactions across multiple local and international bank accounts. Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items and variances. Process EFT payment batches, verify banking details and provide support with cash and liquidity management. Assist with month-end close, including ledger balancing and preparation of reconciliation and audit schedules. Monitor banking portfolios and ensure transactions are processed in line with internal controls and VAT requirements. Support internal and external audit processes and ensure accurate documentation is maintained. Minimum Requirements Diploma or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field. 2-3 years' commercial experience specifically within a cashbook, treasury or banking-focused accounting role. Strong hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and cashbook processing. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Navision \/ Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly advantageous; Accpac\/Sage 300 exposure is beneficial. Strong numerical accuracy, analytical problem-solving ability and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
