Category Manager (strategic sourcing)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Matric
• Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Procurement or other relevant disciplines
• 5-10 years’ experience in a Managerial role within in the same industry
• 3-5 years’ experience in the oil industry will be advantageous
• Must be proficient on ERP systems preferably SAP

Job description

• Develop overall category vision and strategies in line with established procurement strategy
• Enhance BBBEE ratings through monitoring suppliers and contracting and buying from BBBEE accredited suppliers
• Ensure collaborative category management and collaborative supplier management
• Define category sourcing strategies
• Strategic sourcing
• Stakeholder management
