JOB SUMMARY:
Join my client in the Oil and Gas Manufacturing industry, urgently looking for a Category Manager to join their company based in Johannesburg manage, direct and coordinate Category management including strategic sourcing, supplier management, benefits tracking, contract management and internal stake holder management activities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Matric
Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Procurement or other relevant disciplines
5-10 years’ experience in a Managerial role within in the same industry
3-5 years’ experience in the oil industry will be advantageous
Must be proficient on ERP systems preferably SAP

Job description

Develop overall category vision and strategies in line with established procurement strategy
Enhance BBBEE ratings through monitoring suppliers and contracting and buying from BBBEE accredited suppliers
Ensure collaborative category management and collaborative supplier management
Define category sourcing strategies
Strategic sourcing
Stakeholder management
