Central Finance Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Real Estate Investment and Development Industry is currently seeking a Central Finance Manager to join their high-performing team. The incumbent MUST have Retail property experience as well as Broll system experience. Please see the performance area criteria below for a more detailed description of the required responsibilities.

POSITION INFO:

A critical success factor of the role will be the analytical ability to identify problem areas and ensure quick and effective problem solving for others in area of expertise. In addition to this, the incumbent will be expected to identify risks and implement actions to mitigate these. The incumbent will be required to work on a rotation basis on Saturdays to ensure the mall is represented at centre management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bcom Accounting degree or equivalent
• 3+ years Retail Property experience
• Broll system experience (Advanced)
• MS Office (Advanced)

Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

• Operational Financial Processing - Administers financial processes and tasks for a regional shopping centre.
• General Ledger - Reconciles General Ledgers and allocates costs accordingly.
• Creditors / Payment Cycle - Reviews the financial processes for area of accountability.
• Debtors / Receipting Cycle / Leasing - Reviews the financial processes for area of accountability.
• Budget and Forecasting - Provides input into the budget and monitors expenditure.
• Cash Flow Management and Payments - Manages the daily cash position and ensures timeous availability of funds. Ensures the timeous payments to suppliers based on valid TAX invoices.
• Reporting - Provides business with monthly reports as requested.
• Weekend Duties - Successful execution of weekend duties.
• External Auditing - Assists auditors during the external audit process.
• BEE - Reports on BEE spend for the BEE scoring purposes.
• Taxation - Manages the taxation function for portfolio of companies.
• Risk Management - Identifies and manages business risk.
• Self-Development - Participates in training and development initiatives in line with personal development plans.
• Staff Management - Manages peoples’ performance.
