JOB DESCRIPTION:

A great opportunity presents itself to join this prestigious hospitality estate situated on the outskirts of Stellenbosch.

Requirements:

  • Min 2 years previous experience in the same or similar position within a 4 / 5 * hotel or upmarket establishment
  • Relevant pastry & A la Carte experience in an upmarket restaurant or hotel
  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within your specialty
  • Managing and training any Demi-Chef de Parties or Commis working with you
  • Helping the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health & safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain the profit margins
  • Disciplined, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as lead
  • Work in a pressurized environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be able to work shifts
  • Own reliable transport
