JOB SUMMARY:
Chief Accountant - CA qualified

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for managing all accounting activities of both the financial and management accounts of an organization, prepare financial data and performance reports, assist departments with annual budget and reviews, and handle internal control and tax studies

Key responsibilities and duties:

Must have oversight of monthly closing, reviewing journal entries, reconciliation, and variance explanation
Ensuring all accounting transaction are performed correctly on time
Confirm transaction are made accurately and entered in the accounting system
Ensure suppliers invoice and reconciled and payments made
Reconcile financial transaction every month
Validate and reconcile inventory and fixed asset accounts
Release employees EOSB (end of service benefits) and reconcile entries for its provision
Liaise with the department head to collect data for preparing budget and forecast
Ensure collected data is loaded in analytical software
Compare actual with a budget and determine the reason for the variances monthly
Prepare year-end financial statement
Ensure weekly bank reports generated are properly reconciled with the bank statement
Prepare a report for the finance management team
Check cost center expenses and compare them against budget
Validate online expense claim and process forward for approval
Monthly management reporting of P&L and variance analytics.
Cost controls
Supplier management and controls
Tax calculations and reporting’s
Other regulatory and compliance reporting’s

KSA (knowledge, Skills, Abilities) required for the job

Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
Expert in the computer ledger system
Advanced knowledge of excel and ERP system
Able to function in a team and possess the strong problem-solving skill
Strong financial accounting experience and public accounting experience preferred
Excellent communication and presentation skills is a must

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, Masters preferred
CPA/CA/ACCA qualification preferred
Must possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in general or tax accounting
