Chief Audit Executive

SUMMARY:
Our prestigious client in the Financial Industry (Public Sector) has an EE opportunity available for a Chief Audit Executive in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Postgraduate Bachelor degree in Accounting / Auditing
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Registered Chartered Accountant – CA(SA)
• 10 years experience in Internal Auditing at a senior management level as a Chief Audit Executive
• 10 years experience in Auditing Banks
• BASEL 2 and 3
• International Financial Reporting Standards
• Risk Management

• Develops and Implements the Audit Strategy as aligned to the Corporate Plan and Legislation
• Assures delivery of the annual internal audit plan
• Evaluates the developments, past deficiencies, outstanding issues etc. and determines emphases, focus areas as well as standardized audit activities
• Sets up an information and reporting system for standard and exception reporting
• Inform the audit committees without delay of any issue of risk, control or management practice that may be of significance
• Ensures data integrity through testing transaction details to mitigate against misstatements of financials and to confirm levels for assertions
• Manages approach to independent forensic investigations, fraud risk assessments and fraud awareness programmes
• Manage Stakeholder Relationships
• Divisional and People Management
• Develop and manage budget
