SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading Southern African infrastructure wholesaler, is seeking an accomplished Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join its Executive Leadership Team in Durban.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this strategic role is responsible for driving the organisation's commercial performance through sustainable revenue growth, improved profitability, stronger supplier partnerships and an exceptional customer experience. The successful incumbent will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's commercial strategy while building a more customer-centric, solutions-based business.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide executive leadership across: Commercial strategy and execution aligned with the company's long-term growth objectives. National sales leadership, including sales performance, customer acquisition, customer retention and key account management. Pricing strategy and commercial governance to optimise profitability while maintaining market competitiveness. Strategic supplier relationship management, including executive negotiations, joint business planning and supplier development. Product and market expansion through the identification and commercialisation of new products, markets and growth opportunities. Commercial excellence, including CRM optimisation, sales analytics, AI-enabled tools and other digital initiatives that improve customer engagement and business performance. Market intelligence, monitoring industry trends, competitors, pricing, customer behaviour and market opportunities to support strategic decision-making. Leadership and development of high-performing commercial teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and a results-driven culture. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline. An MBA will be advantageous. Minimum 15 years' senior commercial leadership experience within industrial distribution, industrial wholesale, manufacturing or other technical product environments. Demonstrated success in developing and executing commercial strategy, leading national sales teams, pricing, supplier negotiations and key account management. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance revenue growth, profitability, customer value and operational execution.
