SUMMARY:
A software and services specialist company in the Utility industry based in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (female EE candidate) at Exco level to oversee the strategic implementation of the financial functions of the company.

POSITION INFO:

At least 10 years’ experience in a senior financial capacity at a company with a turnover in excess of R100 million per annum.
Qualified CA (SA), CIMA Professional Qualification also acceptable
To be an active role player in the strategic planning and management of the Company, with specific reference to the company’s financial performance.
To ensure the implementation of strategic measures for procurement and the effective utilisation of funds.
To oversee all financial departments which are involved in purchasing, pricing, investments, tax, debt management, and accounts payable/receivable.
To oversee all such financial transactions and the recording of them in the financial systems.
Risk and compliance management as well as cash flow management as some of the primary responsibilities.
To present financial information in reports to senior management, including preparing, attending and presentation to the Board of Directors.
Building and maintaining relationships with service providers including financial institutions
Oversee annual budget planning and preparation
Ensure that effective internal control systems and financial reporting processes are in place
Tax and relevant regulatory compliance
Assist the audit committee fulfil duties of overseeing the external audit process
Conduct research and audits to ensure that all departments are following SARS and other South African Regulatory compliances and guidelines.
Managerial duties relating to recruitment, human resources and employee performance management in the Finance Department (16 direct reports) will also be part of the job function.
Some travel may occasionally be necessary
