SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape
POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- B.Degree in Finance with admission as a CA (SA) / CIMA
- 15+ years’ experience in accounting / finance with 5 years senior management experience (Logistics industry preferred)
- Fluent in English plus one other African language
- In-depth understanding of policy conceptualization, analysis and implementation
- Knowledge of strategic planning, with good management skills
- Valid driver’s license
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Development of financial solutions and systems with investors and delivery partners
- Work closely with CEO to develop financial sustainability strategies
- Develop financial / operational strategies and metrics which are tied to the strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets
- Report accurate financial results
- Compile the annual budget, accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
- Client / supplier management and fraud prevention plans
