A leading financial services group is seeking a strategic and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take ownership of the finance function within its Wealth division.

Duties:

• Lead financial planning and budgeting across the cluster
• Review financial structures to optimise profitability and mitigate operational risk
• Manage and mentor a team of Financial Managers to meet business objectives
• Oversee complex financial transactions and ensure sound financial governance
• Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, supporting P&L performance
• Optimise capital utilisation and cash flow management across entities
• Strengthen internal controls and enhance financial operations
• Drive process automation and operational efficiency
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and timely regulatory submissions
• Oversee tax submissions and liaise with SARS on queries
• Monitor production and accuracy of client tax certificates
• Perform independent oversight of finance operations to manage and mitigate risk
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to resolve queries effectively
• Support strategic planning and performance tracking in partnership with the CEO
• Lead performance management and development of finance team members

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• BCom Honours / CTA
• CA(SA)

• Completed SAICA articles
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry (preferably within wealth management)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to align financial strategy with business goals and drive sustainable growth.
• Proven track record in leading, developing, and managing high-performing finance teams.
• Strong understanding of the financial services sector, with the ability to support business decisions through financial insights.
• Skilled in implementing and monitoring internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to streamline financial operations, implement automation, and drive cost efficiencies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with executives, teams, and external partners.
