POSITION INFO:
Position Overview:
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will report directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in overseeing the daily administrative, commercial and operational functions of the business. You will ensure that all processes run efficiently, maintain high quality standards and drive profitability.
Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Post graduate qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field is beneficial
- 8 years’ experience in a senior operational role
- Experience within the FMCG and manufacturing industry
- Willing to relocate (with assistance) if not based on the South Coast (KZN)
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of administration, production, supply chain and quality control to guarantee the seamless operation of the factory
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation to optimize profitability
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety and food manufacturing regulations
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing and R&D teams to align operations with market trends and customer demands, fostering sales growth
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
- Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company’s vision and long-term growth objectives
- Lead, mentor and inspire a diverse team, driving operational excellence and sustainable profitability
