SUMMARY:
Purpose of Role The Chief Sales & Marketing Officer is responsible for business development, key account management, and farming of
existing accounts, as well as B2B marketing & branding initiatives. The role requires provision leadership, direction, and
resources to the sales department and is accountable for the overall sales department performance, as well as alignment
to the business’s strategy.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

  • Develop the company’s overall branding, marketing and corporate communication strategies in line with the company’s business development objectives and market characteristics and trends
  • Develop the sales strategy based on regional and global market research to generate business opportunities and prioritize target markets
  • Direct the analysis of sales and business development on a monthly basis
  • Supervise and participate in the company’s representation at key industry events and exhibitions across the globe
  • Provide leadership in identifying and developing new markets and customers to achieve business growth
  • Create, direct, and implement the company’s promotional programs to stimulate awareness and sales in particular market segments
  • Create a favorable brand image amongst prospective clients and employees
  • Ensure development, implementation and strategic management of innovative sales, marketing and brand campaigns and techniques
  • Work towards the development and sustenance of B2B relationships through brand building and partnerships
  • Develop, measure, and report on key metrics around the business including client acquisition, conversion rates, engagement rates, satisfaction, renewal rates and refine go to market activities as require

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Revenue growth YoY
  • Gross Profit Margin
  • Cost per converted lead
  • Return on marketing investment (ROMI)
  • Brand Strength Index
  • Marketing budget ratio – a ratio of marketing budget to total revenue
Required Educational Qualification & Relevant Experience
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Marketing Administration
  • 15-18 years of Business Development and Marketing experience
  • Experience and Expertise in leadership, problem solving, and communication
