Chief Techinical Officer

This role calls for a seasoned chief technical officer who will be responsible for managing the following duties

• Refining and implementing operations strategy including area selection, product design and delivery, portfolio quality management and communications
• Will be responsible for the management of the overall quality and efficiency of operations
• Will be accountable for the aggregate plan and delivery of systems, operations, properties & maintenance the general operating model of the company
• Re-balancing resources between different areas e.g. relocating budgets but within overall approved resources for the year
• Contributing to the development of the business unit strategy for the next 2-3 years
• Managing departmental budgets including signing off invoices and quotes within mandates, including all relevant cost control initiatives
• Escalating out of budgets items to the Managing Director for approval
• Analysing effectiveness of processes and systems in use
• Managing strategic projects within the operations to achieve production and operational effectiveness
• Will be responsible for productivity of the operations within operations
• Handling the customers complaints in terms of operations

The ideal candidate has:

• Qualification in Chemical Engineering or relevant
• 8+ experience at a Senior Management level
• 8 to 10 years experience in oils operations (including crushing, refining and packaging)
• Must have 5+ years experience in managing implementing and managing audits
