POSITION INFO:

Head of Technology. This pivotal role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring secure, scalable systems, governed data, and actionable analytics that power business operations and fuel growth.

This is a leadership role responsible for the data strategy and the companys technological infrastructure. This role involves overseeing data governance, developing data strategy, managing technology teams, and ensuring that data and technology initiatives align with overall business objectives. In the short term, you’ll focus on stabilising delivery and strengthening foundations. Over time, you’ll build a modern, data-driven ecosystem that enables smarter decisions, sharper insights, and meaningful impact in the healthcare sector.

Working in close partnership with the Analytics & Economics team, you’ll guide the automation of reporting, advance analytical maturity, and support complex, high-value analysis that informs critical business and clinical strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver a comprehensive Data & Technology strategy aligned to organisational goals.

• Lead, coach, and empower teams across Data, Analytics, Development, and Business Analysis.

• Establish and uphold data governance, coding standards, and delivery best practices.

• Chair the Technology Steering Committee, prioritising initiatives and resource allocation.

• Oversee system stability, ensuring uninterrupted operations and proactive incident management.

• Manage budgets, cloud infrastructure, and vendor relationships efficiently.

• Champion agile delivery methods and continuous process improvement.

• Act as a senior escalation point for technology, data, and analytics challenges.

• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Provide insightful reports and performance updates to senior leadership and the board.

Requirements:

• BDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years’ experience in senior data and technology leadership roles.

• Proven record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing technology and data teams.

• Expertise in cloud platforms, data governance, analytics, and agile delivery.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver short-term impact and long-term transformation.

• Certifications in cloud technologies, agile methods, or data governance.
