POSITION INFO:
A well-established financial services group in Dar es Salaam is looking to appoint a Chief Technology & Digital Transformation Officer (CTO) to lead its enterprise-wide digital transformation and technology strategy.

In this executive-level role reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the organization’s technology roadmap, modernize legacy systems, drive digital banking innovation, and foster a forward-thinking, data-driven culture.

🌐 Key Focus Areas:
Strategic Technology & Digital Leadership - Lead and implement the IT & digital transformation strategy aligned with the group’s long-term growth.
Data & Analytics - Promote a data-driven culture through predictive analytics, real-time insights, and AI/ML applications.
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure robust protection of data and infrastructure while maintaining regulatory alignment.
Core Systems & Infrastructure Modernization - Drive upgrades of legacy systems and strengthen cloud, API, and core banking platforms.
Team Leadership & Innovation Culture- Mentor and empower high-performing IT and digital teams, promoting an agile and innovative mindset.

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

• 11+ years of IT leadership, with at least 5 years in an executive role.
• Industry experience - Financial Services, Banking, FinTech or Telecoms
• Proven success in leading large-scale digital transformation
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory compliance (e.g., Basel, GDPR), API integration, and cloud strategy.
• Customer-centric and innovation-driven leadership style.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• Preferred certifications: CISA, CISSP, TOGAF, PMP, ITIL, or Certified Digital Transformation Officer (CDTO).
