Clinical Data Analyst

SUMMARY:
Background:

• Our client in the Healthcare and Medical Industry has a position for a Clinical Data Analyst based in Johannesburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Bsc Degree / Bsc Honours in Data Science or Health Informatics or Statistics or Computer Science or related field
• Masters degree will be an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Clinical or Healthcare Data Analysis
• Experience working in a healthcare, clinical research or medical data environment (Compulsary)
• Strong SQL Skills with proven ability to query, manipulate and manage complex datasets
• Proficiency in Power BI or Visualization/BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik)
• Solid understanding of clinical coding standards and terminologies e.g. (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED ect.)
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to translate technical data insights into business/clinical language

• Advanced SQL Programming
• Data visualization using Power BI or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Data manipulation techniques
• Knowledge of clinical coding systems
• Familiarty with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
• Understanding of healthcare informatics and clinical workflows
• Statistical analysis knowledge (R, Python or SAS) advantageous
