Clinical Training Specialist (Maternity/NNICU)

SUMMARY:
A Clinical Training Specialist with Maternity & NNICU nursing experience is required at a private hospital in Cape Town. An Education Diploma is a prerequisite and previous facilitation experience is preferred.

POSITION INFO:
Implementing and managing the hospital specific education and training and ensuring all programmes and outputs are aligned with the companies objectives.
Key duties:
Effective management of the risk based in-service training programs and quality
Management of CPD & other programs for qualified nurses
Participate in the selection process of internal and external students
Management of student administration and resources
Provide feedback on the progress of students to the Learning Centre and HOD’s
Participate in marketing of the nursing profession and community events

Qualification:
Nursing Diploma or Degree with Midwifery
Post basic Nursing Education qualification (required)
Diploma in advanced Midwifery or NNICU would be advantage
SANC registered

Knowledge/Skills:
Good knowledge of nursing education systems and legislation governing the practice of nursing
Facilitation and assessment skills
Excellent communication skills
Computer proficient in MS Office programs

Other requirements:
Willing and able to work flexi hours to train night staff
Able to do hospital call from Monday - Friday after hours
Drivers'' license and own transport due to travelling between College & Hospital
