JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Coating Production Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills and is able to take initiative. They will be responsible for the whole coating production process.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Manage the coating production process, including deadlines, related costs and output reports.
Draw up a production schedule based on orders.
Ensure that production is cost effective as specified in the Bill Of Materials (BOM)
Determine what labour resources are required for each project and at what work area they will operate.
Draft project timelines against projected estimate costs
Set the coating quality standards and ensure these are adhered to.
Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
Co-ordinate projects between different departments, e.g., procurement, technical, Manufacturing and HR.
Work with department managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
Ensure that health and safety & housekeeping standards are followed.
Supervise and motivate the coating team.
Review worker performance and report on their assessments to HR monthly.
Identify training needs to HR and ensure training is executed.
Manage all coating staff and execute any required disciplinary action.

Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (not negotiable).
Chemical Engineering Degree.
Experience within the manufacturing industry.
Minimum 3 years’ experience within a managerial role / or leading a team.
