Code 14 Driver – Atlantis – R476 (daily rate)

Working Hours:

ü Temporary Position Only (with a possibility of permanent appointment)

ü Monday to Friday.

ü 08:00am – 17:00pm (they also get a 1-hour lunch break).

ü Dependant on delivery schedule they may be required to work later than 17:00pm, but we try to avoid this.

ü In the case of an emergency delivery, they may be required to do deliveries on a Saturday or Sunday. This happens very rarely.

ü Daily Gross Rate: R 476.00 / day (calculated on average of 21 working days per month)

ü Preferred Qualifications:

Code 14 (a must)
Be able to operate a truck mounted crane (must have proof)
Experience in transporting Dangerous Goods – Hazchem Chemicals (must have proof)
Dangerous Goods License (Must have proof)

Job Description:

ü Assist with loading and offloading of the local delivery vehicle.

ü Operate the local delivery vehicle crane when necessary, during loading and offloading.

ü Perform daily inspections of the vehicle in use and report defects.

ü Drive loads to the specified sites and complete delivery.

ü Notify manager when nearing next service interval.

ü Abide by the road rules and practise safe and considerate driving.

ü Complete paperwork and delivery notes as required for each delivery.

ü Maintain the good image of the company when delivering at any site

ü Complete the daily trip sheet accurately

ü tasks that may be required such as cleaning and maintenance

ü Clean vehicle on daily basis Perform other industry related duties as may be required from time to time

ü Employee may be required to execute any other duties reasonably determined by the Employer or his appointed senior.
