POSITION INFO:
Join a dynamic, data-driven financial organisation that’s all about designing smarter ways to manage collections and recoveries. You’ll play a key leadership role — building and executing strategies that drive profitability, efficiency, and long-term customer value.

This role blends analytics, leadership, and creativity. You’ll shape new models, design optimisation strategies, and collaborate with high-performing teams to make real business impact. Expect to work across data science, operations, and finance — leading initiatives that directly move the needle.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of advanced collections and recovery strategies.
Build, test, and optimise models across the collections lifecycle.
Analyse portfolio performance and identify actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Partner with BI teams to design dashboards and drive data-led decision-making.
Use champion/challenger testing to refine portfolio strategies.
Mentor and guide operations to embed data-driven methods into daily processes.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Honours Degree or equivalent (BCom, BSc, or similar) with majors in Maths, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Actuarial Science.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar analytical or strategic collections role.
Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, R, AWS, and advanced Excel.
Proven experience in designing and optimising collections and recovery campaigns.
Background in financial services, banking, or lending is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills — able to translate data into business action.
