SUMMARY:
Company based in Pretoria is looking for the above to manage the Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Projects and Business Development functions in order to achieve growth and profitability targets of Company.

POSITION INFO:

  • Recognised Qualification in Sales/Marketing/Commercial/Project Management/Financial 
  • 5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Analysis and interpretation of engineering drawings
  • Costings RFQ process; APQP &PPAP
  • ISO Standard
  • IATF 16949
  • Risk Assessments
  • Quality control procedures
  • Relevant legislation

Process:

Strategy
• Establish solid relationships with customers based on service, reliability, trust, consistency and communication.
Business Development
• Develop and monitor annual sales plan and budgets.
• Identify customers and new business opportunities.
• Research market and competitors.
• Manage customer requirements and implement action plans to support these requirements.
• Establish best practices to continually improve customer service.
• Conduct customer satisfaction surveys.
Commercial Management
• Establish product costings based on engineering drawings, CAD, samples.
• Analyse customer profitability and take appropriate action to improve margins.
• Establish service level agreements with customers.
• Manage adherence/compliance to Customer Supply Agreements.
• Develop cost recovery and forex adjustment mechanisms with customers.
• Jointly negotiate direct material costs with suppliers in order to manager customer profitability.

Customers & Suppliers
• Maintain and improve relationship with internal / external customers.
• Conduct customer visits to establish project status and identify outstanding issues /problem.
• Maintain and improve relationship with key suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for improvement with key suppliers.
• Challenge and manage external suppliers to deliver projects in line with master project plan time line.
• Attend to and resolve all customer queries.

Project Strategy
• Develop the projects strategic plan ensure implementation.
• Provide leadership to the project Teams.
• Achieve/exceed the annual project plan in accordance to individual Project budget.
Project Initiation
• Identify opportunities for improvement with internal and external customer and propose alternatives solution.
• Conduct project feasibility studies to establish the viability of proposed projects.
• Contribute to project initiation, scope definition and scope change control.
• Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for projects or sub projects and monitor and control actual cost against budget.
• Obtain approval for projects.
Project Planning
• Schedule project activities to facilitate effective project execution.
• Identify, organise and co-ordinate project life cycle phases for control purpose.
Project Management
• Support the project environment and activities to deliver project objective.
• Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise.
• Identify, suggest and implement corrective action to improve quality of project work.
• Evaluate and improve the project team’s performance.
• Commission machines and equipment or pilot and test new/existing products.
Reporting
• Compile Customer profitability reports.
• Analyze sales data/trends for decision making purposes.
• Weekly sales reports.
• Strategic plans/business plans/forecasts.
• Compile project reports and presentations.

Continuous Improvement
• Champion for the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) within the plant, ensure a CIP team is active with the plant.
• Ensure projects are monitored against deliverable agreed by the CIP team.
• Ensure CIP log is maintained.
• Provide monthly report of achieved progress vs. target in CIP for management pack.
