Commercial Planning & Risk Specialist (Supply chain) (mining)

SUMMARY:
Based in the Northern Cape.  Khatu.
Coordinate commercial planning and risk management activities to support strategic sourcing, improve supply chain visibility, and enable informed decision-making. The role ensures alignment of demand, timelines, and risks, while driving efficiency, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration across the supply chain.

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate the commercial planning pipeline, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, work scopes, and sourcing timelines.
• Monitor and escalate risks impacting commercial activities and sourcing events.
• Maintain a 12-month forward commercial planning view to enable scheduling and inclusive procurement.
• Participate in commercial planning and governance routines with global and regional stakeholders.
• Provide planning support, including capacity analysis, scenario modeling, and tool adoption.
• Contribute to risk management, sustainability goals, and inclusive supplier engagement.
• Support portfolio tracking, reporting, and benefit realization.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Postgraduate qualification or extensive experience in a similarly complex role is advantageous.
• Valid South African Driver’s Licence (Code B).

• Strong knowledge across the supply chain value chain, including planning, procurement, logistics, and supplier engagement.
