Commercial Portfolio Underwriter

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Commercial Portfolio Underwriter for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

 

• NQF 5 insurance related qualification with passed RE exam
• 1- 3 years’ supervisory experience in insurance
• 5+ years experience in commercial insurance lines
• Excellent presentation skills
• Must have good communication and customer service skills (written and verbal) and the ability to negotiate effectively

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Management of commercial portfolio and associated domestic policies
• Communicate with insurers on products, services and queries
• New business applications and insurer surveys
• Attend to admin and written communication and technical support to underwriters
• Ensure documentation, including SASRIA issued, checked and authorized prior to dispatch
