SUMMARY:
Commercial Product (Portfolio) Manager WITH MINIMUM 05 YEARS Experience Strategic Commercial Product Management & Development STRICTLY EE / FEMALE CANDIDATES

POSITION INFO:

URGENTLY looking for a Very Experienced Commercial Portfolio Manager WITH MINIMUM 05 YEARS Experience in Strategic Commercial Product Management & Development at a Senior Management Level.  Required candidates must have hands on experience in Strategic Product Management & Product Development.  Exposure to Commercial Industry specific to Fuel and Fleet Management, Mining, Engineering, Oil and Gas Industry required - Industrial background required.

KEY ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • This role will be a Work from Home role, with travel into the office on a required basis as will be agreed with Line Manager from time to time. There will be external travel up to 40% of work time to interface with suppliers and customers.
  • This position is for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) and thus travel into these countries might be required for specific events or initiatives.

 POSITION PURPOSE:

The primary purposes of the position are as follows:

  • To Manage the Commercial and Fleet Product Portfolio as an individual contributor, whilst collaborating across Engineering, Procurement, Marketing, Commercial and Financial functions within the company.
  • To Develop the Commercial and Fleet Products and Solutions Roadmap by working with Global Product BU’s and local Engineering to identifying potential products or product gaps, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining product specifications, determining product production timetables, product pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction as well as developing and executing got to market strategies.
  • To Research the markets that the Company operates within to determine market segmentations for the Commercial and Fleet BU to enable development of go to market product strategies, product innovation and competitor analysis.
  • To Deliver product adoption through driving product quality and developing value selling material and case studies in conjunction with Marketing Communications to maximise sales revenues, market share and profit margins.

 

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Product Portfolio Management by:
  1. Conducting Market Research.
  2. Performing Voice of The Customer (VOC) with the market to determine Customer Pains & Needs.
  3. Actively participating in the Product Peer Group (PPG) Process as a Product Owner.
  4. Developing and maintaining Portfolio Internal & External Roadmap.
  • Product Pricing, Positioning & Performance.
  • Product Training, Literature & Collateral.
  • Tendering Management & Participation.
  • Strategic Partnership Management
  • Industry Associations establishment and participation to position the company’s image as thought leaders.

SUMMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post Graduate Degree with Honours (Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field).
  • Master’s in Business Administration Preferred.
  • At least 5 Years’ Experience in A Product Management or Product Development Position.
  • At least 1-year Experience in Strategic Product Management or Strategic Product Development Position.
  • Proven Capability in Developing, Establishing and Maintaining Product Marketing Strategies, Roadmaps, Competitor Analysis and Product Function/Feature/Price Charts.
  • Proven Capability in Managing Complex Product Delivery Environments Across Business Functions and Geographies.
  • Proven Capability to Interact with Stakeholders at all Levels, including Presentation and Driving to conclusion Pricing activities at an Executive Level.
  • Exposure to Strategic Pricing Models and Product Management Techniques Preferred.
