Commercial Underwriting Manager

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a Commercial Underwriter (Internal Broker) to provide stakeholders with effective and efficient commercial lines underwriting services in order to retain existing clients and to secure new business so as to grow the business.

DUTIES:

Take appropriate action to minimize cancellations and general expenses

Ensure retention targets are met

Ensure all stakeholder communications are accurate, timeous, professional and relevant

Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Effectively handle queries

Report any and all suspected fraud, misrepresentation and / or dishonesty

REQUIREMENT:

5 year’s underwriting experience

FAIS compliant

RE5

Computer literate

Excellent communication skills
