POSITION INFO:

My client, a large and established audit firm, is looking to hire a Company Secretarial Consultant to join one of the divisions within their group. The successful candidate must have CIPC/Compliance knowledge and excel at client/stakeholder engagement.

Duties:

• Preparation of agendas for meetings
• Monitor corporate governance trends and laws
• Implement King IV
• Maintain minute/resolution books and client company records
• Draft Board/Committee Charters and company policies
• Maintain statutory books
• Develop an Annual Governance Framework
• Ensure company compliance with good corporate governance
• Understanding roles and responsibilities of the Board/Committees

Education:

• LLB/CIS/BCom
• Must be an admitted attorney

Experience:

• 5 – 7 year’s experience in a Secretarial role
• Minute taking for meetings
• Companies Act 71 of 2008, MOI, King IV, JSE requirements
