Position Summary

In this regional role, you will be responsible for effectively delivering high-quality compliance and risk management services to financial services clients. You will ensure all managed operations strictly adhere to the compliance requirements dictated by the FSCA.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Compliance Officer, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Outsourced Compliance Delivery: Fulfill the compliance function required in terms of FAIS, FICA, and other applicable financial legislation for both independent FSPs and corporate clients.

• Framework & Culture: Establish a robust culture of compliance and provide a strategic compliance risk framework to clients.

• TCF Alignment: Actively assist clients in achieving treating customers fairly (TCF) outcomes.

• Reporting & Feedback: Provide clients with high-quality, personalized, and substantive reports, ensuring they are integrated into compliance processes with actionable post-monitoring feedback.

• Performance Standards: Perform all functions to the standards and deadlines set by management while maintaining meticulous records as required by the business.

• Business & Team Growth: Display behavior and attitudes that positively contribute to the regional team''s well-being and development, alongside participating in the sourcing and signing up of new clients.

Minimum Requirements

Please Note: Only applicants who fully meet the qualification and experience criteria listed below will be considered for this position.

• Qualifications: A formal Legal, Accounting, or Financial degree.

• FSCA Status: Must be an FSCA (formerly FSB) registered and approved Compliance Officer (essential).

• Category Focus: Approved by the FSCA for Category I (Candidates with additional Category II approval will receive strong preference).

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in compliance or risk management within the financial services industry.

• Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required.

Core Competencies and Skills

• Deep working knowledge of compliance legislation, specifically FAIS and FICA.

• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of risk management principles.

• Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

• Proven ability to work under pressure, independently, and collaboratively as part of a team.
