POSITION INFO:
The Role:

Stable ICT Company searching for a Compliance Officer, a reliable professional with sharp business acumen`, who has the ability to think outside the box and take accountability for ensuring that all operations and business transactions follow relevant legal, ethical and internal rules and industry best standards in order to meet business objectives.

Essential Experience:

• 3 years compliance, business analysis, financial crime, forensic investigatory, automation and digitization or ethics programme facilitation related experience.
• Computer literate in MS Office

Essential Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Business Management or related degree. 
• Postgraduate degree.

Key Performance Areas:

• Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
• Draft and revise company policies
• Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
• Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk, identifying problem areas based on compliance data and analysing business processes in order to suggest operational and control improvements.
• Monitoring of compliance and adherence with rules, regulation, policies, procedures and follow-up on and ensure corrective action in respect of monitoring functions.
• Actioning client, supplier, and opportunity screening requests that emanate form the Conflict Management Control Room â?? this includes doing financial crime screening, adverse media screening, conflict of interest screening, commercial screening, and overall fit for purpose screening.
• Interact with Group Companies and set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
• Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
• Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
• Keep abreast of international standards and business goals
• Collaborate on updating/creating the Compliance Manual and other procedure manuals
• Incorporate new legislation into existing structure and determine Statutory and Management requirements applicable to different business areas
• Draw up and implement policies and procedures as required
• Improving manual compliance controls through digitization or other current innovative solutions.
• Explaining compliance concepts to business areas in an easy to understand way and monitoring understanding is embedded.
• Facilitating investigation, including forensic investigations into breaches and ensuring consequence management of same.
• Advising key stakeholders and heads of business areas on various aspects of Policies and regulations.
• Managing and preventing the various types of conflicts of interest that can occur in an organization.
• Providing accurate and succinct reporting to enable business to make great decisions.
• Collaborating with and assisting the Risk, Legal, Internal Audit and HR functions with various risk management type issues
