JOB SUMMARY:
Compliance Officer

Location: Paarl – Western Cape
Reporting to: Finance Director

This Company provides direct niche finance solutions to the legal industry. We provide tailor made funding and finance solutions to attorneys, suppliers of medical services, suppliers of medico-legal reports, as well as victims in the field of personal injury law.

What Will You Do?
You will need to objectively ensure that the firm is in compliance with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and bylaws.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Responsibilities:

Understand the legal and regulatory environment the group of companies operates in.
Ensure compliance with various regulations and requirements
Ensuring clients are complying with the legal requirements agreed upon
Internal compliance monitoring, assessment, and enforcement
Accurate and secure record keeping consistently
Ensure all contracts are properly executed to protect the firm

Requirements of the Role:

Competitive and proactive attitude
BCom Law or LLB degree required

Required Skills/Competencies:

Deadline driven
Attention to Detail
Ability to problem solve, and implement practical solutions
High ethical standards
